Strictly! NO bargaining

Mark 10 (King James Version)
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

A young rich man comes to Jesus and straight away asks a very good question "What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"

Any other person in his place would have asked Jesus, "How to make more money?", "How to become popular?", "Make me smart and beautiful", etc.,

Jesus gives a straight reply telling him to obey the commandments and says, "One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me"

But this young rich man didnt expect that kind of answer, Bible says in v22, he "went away grieved"

RIGHT PLACE This rich young man goes to the place where Jesus was
RIGHT TIME he goes at a time when Jesus was at a particular place
RIGHT PERSON meets Jesus
RIGHT QUESTION asks him a question
RIGHT ANSWER gets an answer from Jesus
WRONG DECISION but he goes away grieved (he goes away as if he has lost something important in his life)

This kind of thing happens to each one of us in our lives, when we do everything right except the wrong decision in putting Christ in the drivers seat in our life.

A man could have bargained if a rich young man happens to visit any Church, Jesus didn't say "Hey come-on, don't go, first join my line, you can leave those things later"

Strictly! NO bargaining with God! if God tells you to do something, just do it! dont ever think that God will call you back and bargain
